RIP Thomas Duncan. He didn’t have to die. I have been mum about what’s been going on to an extent on social media because I don’t want to be like those people who rant about injustice and/or other social issues and do nothing about it. I can proudly say that I have done something about it, but this is not what this post is about.

I am taking this matter personally because I am Liberian. His death along with the thousands of West Africans could have been prevented. There is a serum that has been tested and used, and proven to be effective. There’s also a drug called ZMapp that is available. Why wasn’t the serum or the drug given to him IMMEDIATELY after he tested positive for Ebola? WHY hasn’t the serum been SENT to the the West African nations that need them?! Nigeria for a fact put up money to get the serum AND drug! Why are we being treated like this?!

I’ve said this before and I will say this again; Africans, we need to take matters into our OWN hands. We have NEVER mattered to these people! We have to help and heal ourselves. Only God can get us through this ordeal. We will continue to drop like flies if we wait on the Core Countries to help us. They’re too busy raising money for that dog in Spain (That’s a different issue).
